By joining our Friends & Collectors Circle, you will learn more about collecting and support acquisitions at The Heckscher Museum of Art. You will find out about the latest trends and best deals in the art market and meet others with similar interests. Approximately four events per year will be organized, including lectures by art world professionals (curators, artists, collectors), tours of collectors' homes and artists’ studios and visits to New York art fairs, art galleries and auction houses.
Friends & Collectors Circle is an enhanced benefit of membership. To join the FCC, you must be a member at the Fellow Level or above. Annual, tax-deductible contributions to become a member of the Friends & Collectors Circle are: $300 (individual); $500 (dual); and $1000 (corporate). Your annual gift will fund new acquisitions for the Permanent Collection. (Special events may require extra costs for transportation, meals, entrance admission, etc.) FCC members will assist the Chief Curator and Executive Director in the selection of one work of art each year.
During 2008 and 2009, members of the Friends & Collectors Circle have enjoyed:
- A VIP reception at The Armory Show, the world-renowned contemporary art fair
- A visit to the Woodbury home of collectors of Latin American art to see their major collection
