About This Work

Superbly rendered buildings and streets provide a stage for the movement of small cars and even smaller figures in the distance. Here, the night sky envelopes the extreme height of the buildings, while the glow of street lamps and car lights illuminate the lower lying facades, instilling the composition with a complex sense of both the transitory and permanent nature of an evening in the city.
