GRADES 9-12: VISIT THE MUSEUM
Nothing compares to viewing original art in a gallery setting!
Explore artwork on view through group activities designed to build visual literacy and make works of art relatable to students’ everyday lives. Museum educators guide students as they interpret, share, and develop their creative voices.
- Wednesday through Friday
- Minimum of 15, maximum of 50 students at one time
- 90 minutes
- 10 – 11:30 am or 12 – 1:30 pm
Access Heckscher: 60 minutes
Fees include museum admission, museum educator instruction, and art materials.
- $10 per student
- $6 per student (*Township of Huntington Schools)
Please note: Minimum payment for 15 students required if group is smaller than 15.
* Reduced fees apply to public and private schools located in the Township of Huntington. Eight school districts qualify (as well as private schools located with the Township): Cold Spring Harbor, Commack, Elwood, Half Hollow Hills, Harborfields, Huntington, Northport-East Northport, South Huntington.

National Art Honor Society Collaborative
COLLABORATE, CREATE, EXHIBIT
Does your school have a National Art Honor Society Chapter? This program brings Chapters together to collaborate, create and exhibit! Students from different high schools meet in the Museum, learn about artwork on view and ultimately create and exhibit their work during a Museum event in the spring.
