Music at the Museum

Nothing brings the galleries of The Heckscher Museum of Art to life quite like live music. The Museum is pleased to offer musical performances throughout the year in the intimate setting of the Museum galleries. Many programs and special events feature music in a variety of genres.

First Fridays

Celebrate the First Friday of every month with extended evening hours until 8:30 pm, free admission after 5:00 pm, and a performance at 7:00 pm. Explore the Museum's exhibitions and enjoy unique musical performances inspired by artwork on view. Programs feature regional musicians, visiting performers, as well as world-class concert musicians.         






Special thanks to all First Friday performers for sharing their talents with the Museum. Past and present musicians include: Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Fabio Zanon, Huntington Folk Music Society, Muriel Anderson, Terra Voce, Peter Rogine, Michele Ramo and Heidi Hepler, The Counterclockwise Ensemble, Flutissimo! Flute Quartet, Five Towns College Ensembles, Serenade Duo, The East End Trio, Tony Romano and Michel Gentile.

SENIOR SECOND WEDNESDAYS
Seniors 62+ enjoy free admission 1:30 pm through 5 pm on the second Wednesday of the month, with a special program beginning at 2 pm.
