Prime Avenue is located along Route 25A just one traffic light east of the intersection with Route 110 in Huntington Village.

Parking, including parking for people with disabilities, is available in a small lot adjacent to the Museum.
Additional parking locations:
- Prime Avenue and adjacent side streets.
- Madison Street at the north end of Heckscher Park (take Prime Avenue north to Madison and turn right).
- In a large municipal parking lot behind Huntington Town Hall, across Main Street (25A) from Heckscher Park.
By Bus
- Take the H6 or H9 HART bus to the corner of Prime Avenue and 25A.
- Take the S1 Suffolk Transit bus to the corner of Prime Avenue and New York Avenue.
Either bus will bring you to within one block of the Museum.
By Train
The Museum is a five-minute taxi ride from the Long Island Railroad at Huntington Station.

Free Admission for Active Military Personnel
Available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention Common Access Card (CAC), a DD Form 1173, a DD Form 1173-1, a Veteran's DD-214, or a Veteran ID card and a driver's license. Includes active military personnel (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve) or Veteran and up to five (5) family members (spouse, child, aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc.).
All Museum galleries and programs are accessible to people with disabilities.
Parking for people with disabilities is available in a small lot adjacent to the Museum.
Handicapped accessible restrooms are located in an adjacent building (please request assistance from a Museum Guard).
