The Heckscher Museum of Art has a variety of internship opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate students seeking practical experience in various aspects of museum studies. These are usually unpaid positions, unless otherwise indicated, and some may be available only seasonally. Depending upon the desired duration of the internship, it may be possible to combine several projects in order to obtain a broader experience. Internship appointments are awarded at the discretion of the Museum based on the qualification of the applicant and availability of appropriate staff supervision. Internships build your resume and demonstrate to employers your ability to commit and gain real-world knowledge of your field.
