Celebrate Pride and the LGBTQ+ community during this special day! Community members are invited to join Museum staff, board members, and volunteers as we march in the annual Long Island Pride Parade in Huntington Village! The parade will end in Heckscher Park, just outside the Museum. Come inside and view the Museum’s exhibition All Of Me With All Of You: LGBTQ+ Artists Out of the Collection. For the first time, The Heckscher Museum of Art is exploring its collection through the lens of LGBTQ+ identities and histories. Spanning more than 150 years, the exhibition includes paintings, sculptures, and works on paper. Victoria Munro, Executive Director of the Alice Austen House, is guest curator of the show.

Fridays at the Museum Palette Café:
Big Black Food Truck
Friday, June 13, 2025
12 – 8 pm
Get ready for another unforgettable season at the Heckscher Museum of Art’s Museum Palette Café! After a successful debut last year, we’re serving up delicious fun this summer with more dates, extended hours, and special collaborations all season long. Come for the food, stay for the art, and experience summer Fridays like never before!
After some time apart working in various industries, long-time restaurant co-workers, John Herbert & Anthony Torres reconnected in 2017 and decided to venture into the food truck business together. The Big Black Food Truck was born. For John & Anthony, food is a passion. Their art is creating a delicious and surprising dining experience that will overwhelm your every sense. While most food trucks specialize in one cuisine, their plan was to always provide a menu that gives customers a little bit of everything. Since 2017, they have established a strong customer base and created great relationships with the local community, schools and fellow businesses. The Big Black Food Truck pledges to always provide exceptional customer service and continue to improve their menu every year.
