Celebrate First Friday at The Heckscher! Explore the exhibitions during extended viewing hours from 5 – 8:30 pm and enjoy special performances beginning at 7 pm.

The award winning ensemble Serenade Duo featuring guitarist Gerry Saulter and flutist Michelle LaPorte bring concert music of the world to life with their warm presence and engaging performances of culturally diverse repertoire. As performers, educators, and world chamber music advocates, Serenade Duo tours extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada – including appearances at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, as well as arts councils, museums, libraries, festivals, and educational institutions throughout the world.

Serenade Duo’s Reflections of Latin America program, is a musical journey that celebrates the spirit of Latin American culture throughout the world. The duo will perform a variety of lyrical compositions for flute and guitar from Argentina, Cuba, Italy, and France. The program features tangos, milongas, preludes, and suites created by living composers.
