Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the opening of Emma Stebbins: Carving Out History. Sponsors, Donors, Members and Friends were there to see the impressive exhibition curated by Dr. Karli Wurzelbacher, chief curator. The evening included a welcome by Heather Arnet, executive director and CEO, and remarks by Wurzelbacher about the scope of work that made it happen, including researching the artist, discovering the long lost works, writing the impressive catalogue, and producing this exciting exhibition.
Artists Ricky Flores, and Martha Edelhiet attended. Both artists have works that reference Stebbins’s iconic Bethesda Fountain, her best known work. The exhibition is on view through March 15, 2025.
