Awards, Videos, Travelling Show Highlight Stebbins

Emma Stebbins: Carving Out History has been granted two awards, is featured in the PBS production Treasures of New York, and in art-focused videos for Smarthistory.org. The Heckscher exhibition is now travelling to other museums across the country, first to  The Driehaus Museum, Chicago, opening October 9.  The art of Emma Stebbins as well as her fascinating personal story are continuing to spark interest. One of the goals of  The Heckscher Museum’s exhibition was to restore Stebbins’s name in the annals of art history. These recent awards and recognitions are a testament to that effort, and to Stebbins’s enduring legacy. As the steward of the largest collection of Emma Stebbins’s work in a  museum collection, Heckscher Museum is proud to be part of that legacy.
