Centennial Exhibition Visitors Choice Voting ends Sunday!

Throughout the Museum’s 100 year history, community, collaboration, and our visitors have been at the heart of our mission. Keeping this in mind, our centennial exhibition The Heckscher Museum Celebrates 100 includes a feature wall in the Central Gallery reserved for “Visitors Choice” artwork. The Visitors Choice is voted on by Museum visitors, both virtual and in-person, and the winning artwork is displayed as part of the exhibition. With several rotations during the length of the exhibition, which continues through January 9, 2022, there are three opportunities for visitors to vote and help us determine which artwork to feature!

Time flies, and the first round of voting ends this Sunday, July 25 at 5 pm. There are four works of art to choose from: (1) Red Grooms, Jackson in Action, 1997, 3-dimensional color lithograph on Rives BFK, (2) Ty Stroudsburg, Highbeams II, 2016, Oil on linen, Gift of the Artist, (3) Emilio Sanchez, Untitled, Multi-colored Storefronts, Late 1980s, Oil on canvas, Gift of the Emilio Sanchez Foundation, and (4) Keith Sonnier,  Scraper I, 1989, Aluminum, neon tubing and ballast, Gift of Mrs. Deborah Davidson in memory of Al Davidson. Which work of art would you like to see on view? The winning piece will be on display from July 29 through September 19.
