Long Island’s Best: Young Artists at The Heckscher Museum, the most prestigious juried exhibition for Long Island high school students, is now online! See all 100 works of art, read each student’s artist statement, discover the award winners for 2020, and see the artwork that inspired each student.
There were 388 student submissions this year, representing 58 participating high schools across Nassau and Suffolk County. Jurors Karli Wurzelbacher, Curator, The Heckscher Museum of Art, and guest juror Nancy Richner, Director (Retired), Hofstra University Museum of Art, selected 100 for the final exhibition.
