Sculpture Sunday Pop-Up

Sunday, November 9, 2025
12 – 2 pm

Drop in any time between 12 and 2 pm us for this pop-up sculpture program! This playful and educational experience is a hands-on opportunity for young artists and visitors of all ages to explore the basics of sculpting. On November 9, learn about movement and get inspired by Mary Callery’s bronze sculpture Tree. Create your own abstract metallic sculpture using a variety of materials.

$5 per family. No registration required.

Art Explorers Club
for Ages 5 – 10

Kids will explore a variety of different art materials and techniques as they create open-ended projects and let their imaginations soar! Get creative and make new friends at this program designed specifically for ages five through 10.

Carving Out History: New Research on Emma Stebbins

Emma Stebbins (1815–1882) was one of the most important American sculptors of the nineteenth century. To accompany the first-ever museum exhibition of her work, The Heckscher Museum of Art has just released the scholarly publication Emma Stebbins: Carving Out History (distributed by Penn State University Press). In this virtual lunchtime panel discussion, three of the book’s authors will share new research on Stebbins.
